Adston Construction

With offices across the north and south of Ireland, and in London, Adston Construction operates in the hospitality and leisure, medical and healthcare, residential, and retail sectors, and is a construction partner to major brands, including Lidl. A new Lidl store was recently constructed by Adston in Peterborough, on the site of British Sugar’s former head office where it had been based since 1926 until moving to new premises in Samson Place, Peterborough, in December 2018.
800 tonnes of British Sugar TOPSOIL’s Landscape20 BS3882:2015-compliant general purpose topsoil was delivered to the new Lidl store on Oundle Road between October 2020 and January 2021 to create planting beds adjacent to the car parking areas. Construction and landscaping was completed by Adston in time for the new store’s opening in February.
Adston’s site foreman for the project, Kevin Fay, said:
“The product was very easy to work with and was of a high quality. Easy ordering and next day deliveries made my job a whole lot easier and I would certainly order from British Sugar TOPSOIL again.”
