Futurescape 2014 Draw Result

David Sarton of Weald Design Ltd was the lucky winner of the British Sugar TOPSOIL hamper draw at Futurescape 2014. The hamper was packed full of British Sugar and its sister companies, in Associated British Foods, products.

David Sarton has worked in horticulture since the age of 14. Working for a previous supplier of plants to RHS Gardens he learnt the basics of plant management and horticultural design ‘on the job’. As a natural progression, with his love of photography, David moved into horticultural photography working as an commissioned photographer at RHS Wisley for 6 years in the late 90’s, early 2000’s.

During that time David joined the Professional Garden Photographers Association (PGPA) and has been photographing RHS Show Gardens at Chelsea and Hampton Court since 2000. He started designing gardens at the same time and won his first Gold medal at the Kent Show in 2004, this was followed by a further Gold and Top Gold in 2005 and 2006. David Sarton has been awarded a RHS Gold Medal for his first garden at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2013. A summer garden called Athanasia.

David now runs his own garden design business in the Weald of Kent, offering a full design and landscaping package incorporating his love of horticulture, colour and balance to interpret the project theme, enhancing and producing a design to meet and exceed a client’s expectations and desires.
