NHBC webinar ‘Clean capping requirements for brownfield land remediation’ on 1st February 2023.

The duration of the webinar is 3 hours and will begin at 1pm.

An important part of completing the remediation of brownfield sites is the Subsoil and topsoil used to cap the site. The webinar will bring together industry leading experts, including Tim O’Hare Associates, Fabia Pollard a Scientific Officer from King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council, Andy Spetch British Sugar TOPSOIL and Matthew Lennard, Senior Geo Environmental Engineer from the NHBC.

The webinar will discuss the key requirements in:

  • The selection and sampling of appropriate soil sources.
  • The assessment of site-won and imported soils.
  • Soil compaction – problems, causes, avoidance & repair.
  • The design, placement and verification of the clean capping layer.

These are all key to getting it right first time and successfully complying to NHBC and Local Authority regulations.

The webinar will expand your knowledge on the sources of topsoil, pitfalls, sampling and testing and Local Authority requirements.
