Meet the Topsoil Team

Andy Spetch - Topsoil Manager

Andy Spetch

Andy joined British Sugar in 1987 and has been National TOPSOIL Manager for since 1999

Initially joining as an Agricultural trainee Andy has worked as an agronomist for the company in England and Poland.

Andy holds the BASIS, FACTS and NEBOSH qualifications.

In 1997 Andy took over the management of British Sugar’s TOPSOIL business. This role involves managing the production, marketing and sales of the topsoil received with the beets.

With a passion to learn and continually improve, Andy recently, attained a Diploma in Sales Management with the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Out of work Andy’s passion is rugby and keeping fit. He is a committee member, level 2 coach and volunteer groundsman for his local rugby club Bury St Edmunds.

Always up for a challenge Andy has trekked in Vietnam, climbed the UK’s three highest peaks and cycled from London to Paris all in aid of charity.

Natalie Gudgin - Topsoil Sales Manager

Natalie Gudgin

 Natalie joined British Sugar in 2009.

Initially working on the Agriculture helpdesk Natalie handled enquires from beet growers and supported TOPSOIL at national and regional events.  In 2012 Natalie permenantly joined the TOPSOIL team and has been targeted to increase sales in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge and Lincolnshire. 

Natalie previously worked as a Sales Executive at Sky Media in Victoria, London for 5 years. Natalie’s responsibilities were to manage a portfolio of clients in the core TV sales department and promote integrated sales campaigns between various departments.

Outside of work Natalie has a passion for travel. In 2005 she went on an around the world trip visiting several countries in South East Asia and Australasia.  Natalie also has an interest in reading and music.

Grace Townsend-Topsoil Sales Manager

Grace joined the British Sugar TOPSOIL team in 2017

Before joining British sugar Grace worked for Bidfood as a Telesales Executive. The role required her to manage her own customer base, be the main contact for new and existing customers to place their orders and grow the business while achieving personal targets.

Outside of work Grace enjoys going to Music Festivals and Skiing holidays with her family.

 Kim Campton - Topsoil Sales Support Manager

Kim joined British Sugar in 2015 in the Customer services department as an Order book Administrator handling customer enquiries and taking orders for bagged and bulk sugar deliveries.

Kim previously worked for the Environment agency in the Waterways department looking after and developing the rented Moorings, which including the issuing of contracts, licences and collecting payments of Mooring fees.

Outside of work Kim is a keen sports women having played Women’s Rugby for 18 years at Peterborough and Deeping Rugby club, she has also represented her club at county level.

Kim also likes to visit the gym 4-5 times a week to keep fit, along with cycling and walking with her two dogs at the weekends.
